Publicenter adds Infineon's New Single-Module Chip and Antenna Design to its portfolio.
Publicenter is excited to announce its collaboration with Infineon Technologies to propose the latest innovation in payment technology—a new contactless card featuring Infineon’s SECORA™ Pay Green technology. This innovative dual-interface solution integrates both the chip and antenna into a single module, eliminating the need for a separate booster antenna. This design not only simplifies the card design but also reduces CO2 emissions typically associated with sourcing antenna electrical components. Additionally, the module’s design allows for easy removal at the end of the card’s life cycle, making recycling the card body easier and environmentally friendly—a significant step toward reducing the ecological footprint of financial card production.
To leveraging SECORA™ Pay Green’s eco-friendly benefits, Publicenter recommend card bodies made with recycled materials such as rPVC and rPETG. The use of recycled materials reflects Publicenter’s dedication to reducing waste and promoting a circular economy. These materials, along with the new contactless technology, allow for the creation of cards that minimize environmental impact while maintaining performance and functionality.
This collaboration with Infineon Technologies will enhance Publicenter’s offerings for the financial market and represent a significant step forward in sustainable payment solutions.
Publicenter can support customers in piloting this innovative solution, offering a forward-thinking solution that combines innovative technology with recycled materials, promoting both sustainability and high-performance in the payment card industry.
